ABOUT PAUL KOURI
Paul Kouri
Paul graduated from San Diego State University in 1993 and moved to Oklahoma after the Murrah bombing to help rebuild the City. After many years in the construction industry, he attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law, graduating with Honors in 2005. Paul worked closely with “The Insurance Law Guru,” Rex Travis for 14 years, gaining invaluable experience litigating the “troubled cases” Rex so famously handles (for many years most Oklahoma attorneys learned “Insurance Law” from adjunct professor, Rex Travis, at both OU and OCU). Paul started his own practice in October 2017, limiting his referral-based practice to Plaintiff’s personal injury and insurance coverage and bad faith. He recently calculated he has litigated more than 1000 cases. Paul also now puts his experience to work for other attorneys, doing freelance appellate and trial court briefing. Paul is admitted to all Oklahoma state and federal courts as well as the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Oklahoma Association for Justice. He does pro bono work on behalf of Oklahoma Lawyers for America’s Heroes Program
Compassionate Representation
Paul went to law school after his insurance company refused to pay a fire loss claim. That is also how he met Rex Travis, who got the claim resolved and then a few years later became Paul’s “boss” and mentor once Paul graduated from OU School of Law. Having been in your position, Paul knows how vulnerable it feels to be a client and he is committed to listen to, and empathize with his clients.
Ethical Representation
Paul has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly during his legal career. Paul teaches lawyer ethics and is committed to putting those principle into practice in his personal and professional life.
Effective Representation
Compassion and ethics are great—but they don’t get cases resolved. Paul knows how to fight for his clients. Paul commits to putting his clients’ interests first and to fighting for their best possible outcome
